GENERATIONS is a piece for symphonic orchestra with a melancholic character, its central part being more rhythmic and cheerful.  This composition full of feeling is dedicated to my family, especially my ancestors, to whom I have much to thank.

The motifs exposed in this work are related to the first names of my grandparents, my grandmothers, and my parents, in addition to appearing some motifs related to the word “family” referring to the entire family tree.  Each of these musical motifs contain some letters of said names, based on the American cipher.  For a greater connection between this composition and the love for my family, I have included in some sections the heartbeat through the timpani, referring to the link between the heart and feelings, love, and life.
